Timo On Central: wine & dinner with the dogs

Overall Experience: 8/10
Dog Friendly: 8/10
Shade: 8/10
Crowd: Low/Medium

Looking for a hidden gem that offers wine, happy hour and wood-oven pizza? Ziggy and Korra are here to let you in on their secret — Timo On Central. This restaurant boasts a full Mediterranean inspired menu, worldly wine list and shaded dog-friendly patio.

Covered by both trees and shades Timo makes a great restaurant pick in the spring and fall months. Our favorite time to visit, however is winter due to their numerous patio heaters and central fire pit. The outdoor lights and neighborly feel provides a perfect atmosphere for any occasion including date-night. If you’re interested in receiving their weekly specials and seasonal appetizers, you can signup for their newsletter on their site.

The chef’s specials and dishes occasionally rotate with the seasons, but some of our flagship favorites not to be missed are the Timo bread & pesto/butter, crab cakes, skirt steak, and salmon entree.

If you head to Timo for lunch and need to walk off your meal after, you’re just North of the central canal. From the restaurant, walk on the sidewalk with your doggie companion .1 miles south (2 minutes) to hit the canal entrance. Here you’ll find a well-paved path along the water to stretch your legs and relieve your dog. Ziggy and Korra’s favorite activity involves admiring the local ducks from afar.

You can find Timo On Central at: 8801 N Central Ave #104, Phoenix, AZ 85020
